Bobby
Sanders
Come on out Thursday
night and hear Orlando's own BOBBY SANDERS play for Porkie's
guests. If you haven't heard Bobby before you are in for a
real treat.
Many things come to mind when Bobby Sanders name is
mentioned, a true southern rebel, a motorcycle stunt rider, the unofficial
mayor of Lockhart, Florida (impeached).
But most of all a wonderful southern country music singer and guitar player, he
has played for many different people at various functions, He has played at the
Hank Williams Sr. Festival in Georgiana, Alabama and the Hank Williams Sr. Museum
in Montgomery Alabama. He has sung numerous times with Hank Williams Sr.’s
band “The Drifting Cowboys”. Bobby is very proud of the fact that
he played at the 1st Ronnie Van Zant memorial at the Jacksonville
Naval air station. His latest endeavor was
playing for Leonard and Rosemary Skinners 50th wedding anniversary.
It is always a good time whenever Bobby is playing and singing. Bobby has been
singing and playing his guitar since he was in the fourth grade in 1965 at Lockhart Elementary
School. He has even written a song about
his principal from Lockhart Elementary
School. Bobby was asked to play it for the Orange
County Public Schools principal meeting. It is one of his most requested songs,
be sure to ask him to sing it to you while enjoying Bobby's awesome sounds at
Porkie's Original BBQ on Thursday night. |
